Emin Milli - The policeman smiled, raised his head, and looked up.
Emin Milli – The policeman smiled, raised his head, and looked up. Yesterday, 18 February 2013, the Azerbaijani internet activist, Emin Milli, was called for questioning by police. He was not detained. He posted the following on his Facebook site http://www.facebook.com/emin.milli
This evening ended up with the invitation to police department N26. The policeman knocked on my door and asked me to come with them. Once at the police station, they asked me to explain in a written form what I am doing currently (as an occupation), why I am doing it, and what my future plans are.
I explained my vision to the policeman as usual: good governance, the rule of law, and democracy in Azerbaijan.
However, I could not ignore the silent support that I saw in the policeman’s eyes. He was just silently doing his job. When I told him that we have a great network of young, educated and bright people who will take to the streets and then taken on the responsibility of running the country soon, he smiled, raised his head, and looked up.
