Writers Monument

33 journalists were murdered in the course of their profession in 2019. Since 1992, worldwide, more than 1600 writers and journalists have been killed in the practice of their profession. PEN International is joined by the Theatre of Wrong Decisions, the Committee to Protect Journalists, Oxfam Novib and Writers Unlimited in commemorating those who have been killed in the course of their work.
