‘Literature knows no frontiers…‘ PEN International Charter 1926
The importance of the art of translation is at the heart of the PEN charter, which champions the unhampered transmission of thought within each nation and between all nations; beyond national and linguistic borders and beyond conventional literary expectations. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to translate for PEN International.
With a background in HR and communication, Aurelie got into translation by chance: she was asked on several occasions during her professional experiences to translate, proofread or write different kind of contents, and she realised how much she liked it! Following few years of travels around the world, she is now taking a new career path as a freelance translator, as a volunteer translator for PEN (ENG to FR) and as a student (bachelor in English). In her spare time she loves reading, playing music and improving her language skills, especially in Finnish.
