On the 13th of June 2013, The Griffin Poetry Prize 2013 was awarded to Palestinian poet Ghassan Zaqtan for his latest poetry collection ‘Like a Straw Bird it Follows Me, And Other Poems’, and to Fady Joudah for his translation of the poetry from Arabic to English; which ‘illuminates the vision of what Arabic poetry in general and Palestinian poetry in particular are capable of’.
